James Wilson "Red" Gilmore, 93, of Fulton died Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia.

Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday, July 22, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with the Rev. Bruce Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Callaway Gardens Memorial. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He was born October 29, 1917, Howard County, the son of Charles Henry Gilmore and Lucy Frances Ward.

He was united in marriage January 27, 1942, to Opal Mae Christopher, who preceded him in death.
