I am a beginner and take lessons ... I tried to use rental clubs - in particular, be dependent on what was available and when. Also, want to learn to balance what I play. your distance with each club depends on how far you can hit the ball. the brand of club really has nuthin to do with it. on average tho if you are of reasonable skill you should hit the driver any where between 200-250 yards, and your 9 iron about 130 yards and club up every ten yards so 8 iron =140 yds, and etc.... this is only general tho it all
