Missouri is well-represented on the preseason All-Big 12 football team announced Tuesday as voted on by media who cover the conference.</p><p>Missouri was the leader among the three area schools with three selections: senior tight end Michael Egnew, junior defensive lineman Brad Madison and kicker Grant Ressel.</p><p>Kansas State running back Bryce Brown has yet to play a down for the Wildcats, and already he&#x92;s earned recognition.</p><p>Brown, a former Wichita East standout who transferred from Tennessee, was the lone Wildcat to make the preseason team.</p><p>Kansas had no one on the team.</p><p>Oklahoma led the way with nine players named to the preseason team; Oklahoma State and Texas A&M had four apiece, Texas, like Missouri, had three, and Iowa State had two.</p><p>Wide receiver Justin Blackmon of Oklahoma State was tabbed as preseason offensive player of the year and linebacker Travis Lewis of Oklahoma was designated preseason defensive player of the year. Running back Malcolm Brown of Texas, who played prep football at Steele High in Cibola, Texas, was chosen preseason newcomer of the year.</p><p>Blackmon was a unanimous All-American last season and won the Biletnikoff Award as the nation's top receiver. He set an NCAA record with 12 straight games with 100 receiving yards and a touchdown.
