A total of 12 people, mostly students from BYU, were injured Sunday when removing gasoline down an abandoned mine shafts and ignited. Several gallons of gasoline were switched to the grid at the entrance of the mine, creating a fireball unexpected.

Several videos can be found on YouTube of a college-aged people throwing Molotov cocktails and pouring gasoline down the abandoned mine shafts and lighting flares or fireworks. Many of these videos, from 2006, have been killed in Utah and some claim to involve students from BYU.
